How to add Solana to MetaMask
Update the app; there is nothing to add. MetaMask announced the launch on 8 July 2025 and says it adds alerts and transaction simulation there. On Solana dapps, MetaMask may sit under “View More Wallets”.
Importing a Phantom phrase brings in all its Ethereum and Solana accounts. That is the trade-off: the same words now live in two hot wallets.

Will my MetaMask wallet support Solana?
Yes, if the app is current. MetaMask’s help page says every account now holds an EVM, a Solana and a Bitcoin address from your existing Secret Recovery Phrase. On the extension, open the address dropdown under the account name; on mobile, tap the copy icon.
When did MetaMask add Solana?
MetaMask announced Solana on Mobile and Extension on 8 July 2025. Its help page says the multichain account structure arrived in 2025 with Extension 13.5 and Mobile 7.57. Older Solana accounts, including Solflare or Drift Snap addresses, keep the same address.
Can I use a Ledger with MetaMask on Solana?
Not according to MetaMask’s help page as read on 17 October 2026: Ledger-based Solana accounts cannot be connected yet. That yet matters, so recheck the page before buying. Until that page changes, do not assume a Ledger can confirm Solana transactions inside MetaMask.
